Goat Mountain

This past weekend I took my family on a nice hike up to Goat Mt which offers amazing views of the Flint Creek mountains and Pintler Wilderness. The hike takes about three hours and is over moderate terrain. Goat Mt sits just over 9200' and shares a lengthy ridgeline with Racetrack Peak and East Goat Mt. The ridge top meadows are amazing and the terrain up here will offer unbelievable ski lines come winter. Can't wait to share this with everyone when the snow starts falling.

Snow fills in several pencil chutes in this cliff band offering great advanced ski lines

  1. That's us eating trail mix at the top of the world. The view is awesome and the opportunities for skiing are everywhere up there. This area is a hidden treasure just waiting to be skied. I loved the hiking, and I'll be back for the skiing!

  2. Great views. We loved every minute - bush wacking up the mountain, seeing the wildflowers, taking in the endless mountains. Can't wait to go back.

  3. Hi Jamie! Your Mom told me about this beautiful place. Just looking at your pics makes me want to jump on a plane and find your piece of God's paradise. How fortunate you are to be working in such a magnificent part of the country.
